Children @ St. John's
We think the happiness and safety of children is very important. We also want them to grow in learning how to be followers of Jesus Christ today and in the years to come.
All our children's activities are run by mature, trained adults who have been given a blue card recognising their safe history. We also train our leaders according to our Anglican Church of Australia safe practices Code (Faithfulness in Service) which we are happy to show you or give you a copy of.
We want our children to learn and grow together in a fun and safe environment and seek to take serious care in the choice of our leaders and helpers. We would love to hear any thoughts and reflections you have on what we are doing and what we are trying to achieve.
Each Sunday of the Public School Term we provide an opportunity for children to learn together in ways more suitable to their needs.
The Children will normally begin their time with us and when the service leader announces it, they will leave to go to the building next door. Of course, we look forward to seeing them again during communion toward the end of the service!
Currently there are no weekly meetings for our children or the children within our local area.
We are very open to the idea but do not feel we have the resources as yet. If you have any ideas that you are willing to back with your time and effort(!), please contact us.
If you are new and would like to observe, or join in, any of our children's activities you are most welcome to do so. Please advise us of your intentions by contacting Robin on 0410 151 359.
